Hi Karen
No flights are not included. Flight costs will be from $900 - $1,000 for Lima and then the flights to and from Cuzco are around 200 each way. Will of course depend on what is on special at the time.

Anna, this morning Jeff and I researched altitude locations for a short trip in April using our timeshare. We were either going to take the kids to Vail or Whistler for some skiing and found flights pretty reasonable. What I REALLY wanted to do was go to Peru and climb Machu Picchu but with Kili this year could not justify it ... THEN, I see this deal. Tell me the $1835 is flights 2 and we're in ... heck, I might even let the kids come if they can take time off school. I know it's probably not, just dreaming. Karen

..........and another luscious sight is the sumptuous catered lunches and/or dinners that begin to arrive to be deposited carefully onto the blue tarps everywhere (or maybe simply packed by mama!?)........one could make a life there....and with all the saki going down i doubt if they would soon even notice or care that you are a westerner......or non-Japanese-speaking.......(THEY ARE ALL THERE TO PARTY!) if so, perhaps even more of a trophy for their group!!! I felt like I was observing a private celebration but since not nearly as young and handsome as Karl perhaps not quite as sought after.......but a mama and her 2 sons had carefully led me to that part of the park in spite of (or because of) the fact that I was 75 years old............perhaps they thought I just needed a good rousing celebration....or a good meal! after all, they have waited a whole year for this auspicious time!!!

previously in Bali a Japanese couple on a honeymoon and dining at the table next to mine (on a drop-dead breath-taking deck overlooking the sunset ocean) bought a bottle of champagne to toast me when the overheard that it was my birthday evening.....and no English was exchanged....... but they took photos and forwarded them to me later.......they could understand that i was from Colorado and he loved to ski!

I recommend Karl's trip whole-heartedly and completely without reserve but do take warm clothes..... just in case! their weather unpredictable in spring and not always quite as balmy as i had hoped for or expected..........
